Student Spotlight: Sita Earns Gold for Vertical-Farming Idea and Two Gymnastics Medals

Two competitions, two kinds of preparation

Sita in Year 5 has packed a lot into the past few months, with achievements in two very different fields: a smart-farming science idea and first-time gymnastics competition.

On 13 June 2026, she presented Sky Farm Tower: A Smart Vertical Farming System at the Thailand Science Ideation Contest, held at King Mongkut's University, and received a Gold Medal.

From 28 to 29 July, Sita entered the 3rd JRC Yong Stars 2026 at Jintana Gymnastics Club, competing for the first time. She received a Bronze Medal for a 10-element tumbling routine in the ages 9-10 category, and a Silver Medal in the Australian Levels Program (WAG Level 1) All-Around for ages 9-12.

The two achievements asked for two very different kinds of preparation. She rehearsed her science presentation several times, and for gymnastics she trained at least three days a week for two hours at a time. Both paid off.

Congratulations, Sita, from everyone at SBS Bangkok.
