Every week, SBS Bangkok students join Mandarin-speaking staff to talk through a real topic and discover how much they can say.

Every week at SBS Bangkok, students sit down for a conversation in Mandarin. The format is called the Mandarin Coffee Shop, and it is deliberately simple.
Students join Mandarin-speaking staff from across the school, talk through a real topic together, and put the language they have been learning in class to work.
Some conversations start slowly. Most end with students pleasantly surprised at how much they could say, and that is exactly the feeling SBS Bangkok wants them to keep.
Mandarin at SBS Bangkok runs beyond the lessons. The Coffee Shop happens every week, a Chinatown trip is coming later in the year, and older students will soon design Mandarin activities for younger ones.
The regulars keep coming back, and the school takes that as the highest compliment.
