Turning curiosity into hands-on discovery

Primary Science Week 2026 gave students at SBS Bangkok the opportunity to turn curiosity into hands-on discovery.

From Year 1 to Year 6, students explored invention and innovation through the challenge of building Rube Goldberg machines — creative chain-reaction devices designed to complete simple tasks in imaginative and unexpected ways.

Throughout the process, students planned, tested, adjusted and presented their ideas, seeing how scientific thinking connects with creativity, problem-solving and teamwork.

Science Week was a meaningful reminder that curiosity grows when children are given the space to ask questions, experiment, make changes and share what they have discovered.
