A Celebration of Learning, Leadership, and Culture

SBS International School Bangkok celebrated Loy Krathong Day with a heartfelt and meaningful event that invited students to explore the beauty of Thai culture through hands-on learning experiences. Rooted in respect, creativity, and community, the celebration connected classroom learning with Thailand’s living traditions — reminding everyone of the importance of gratitude and environmental care.

The afternoon began with an opening ceremony that reflected on the cultural and environmental significance of Loy Krathong, followed by a series of interactive cultural stations. Students created eco-friendly krathongs from natural materials, enjoyed traditional Thai games, and explored the history of the festival and the royal contributions of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother to the preservation of Thai arts, culture, and nature.

Throughout the event, older students took on leadership roles, guiding and supporting their younger peers with care and confidence. This spirit of collaboration and service reflects one of the defining values of SBS Bangkok — nurturing leadership through community and shared experience.

The celebration provided students with a deeper understanding of Thailand’s cultural heritage and a renewed sense of appreciation for the Queen Mother’s enduring legacy. โรงเรียนนานาชาติ SBS Bangkok จัดกิจกรรมวันลอยกระทงเพื่อเปิดโลกการเรียนรู้วัฒนธรรมไทยให้กับนักเรียนในบรรยากาศที่งดงาม อ่อนโยน และเปี่ยมด้วยคุณค่า

กิจกรรมนี้สะท้อนแนวทางการเรียนรู้แบบองค์รวมของโรงเรียน ที่เชื่อมโยงความรู้ ความคิดสร้างสรรค์ และความภาคภูมิใจในรากเหง้าทางวัฒนธรรมไทยเข้าด้วยกันอย่างกลมกลืน

กิจกรรมเริ่มต้นด้วยพิธีเปิดที่กล่าวถึงความหมายของประเพณีลอยกระทงและคุณค่าด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ตามด้วยฐานการเรียนรู้ซึ่งออกแบบอย่างตั้งใจเพื่อปลูกฝังความเข้าใจในวัฒนธรรมไทย

นักเรียนได้ร่วมประดิษฐ์กระทงจากวัสดุธรรมชาติ เล่นเกมไทย และเรียนรู้เรื่องราวของวันลอยกระทง พร้อมทั้งรำลึกถึงพระราชกรณียกิจของ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวง ผู้ทรงอุทิศพระวรกายเพื่ออนุรักษ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมและธรรมชาติของไทยให้คงอยู่คู่แผ่นดิน

นักเรียนรุ่นพี่ได้ร่วมดูแลและเป็นพี่เลี้ยงให้น้อง ๆ ด้วยความอบอุ่นและใส่ใจ ถ่ายทอดคุณค่าของความเป็นผู้นำ การแบ่งปัน และการทำงานร่วมกัน ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจของการเรียนรู้ที่ SBS Bangkok มุ่งปลูกฝัง
