Parent Voice: What August's Mum Noticed After Choosing SBS Bangkok for Year 9
August's mum wanted a school that would challenge him while he kept enjoying learning. In her interview, Ms Pimpawee shares what she noticed as he settled into Year 9 at SBS Bangkok.
What August's mum noticed
Choosing a school often comes down to a simple hope: that a child will be challenged, and will keep enjoying learning. That was exactly what Ms Pimpawee was looking for her son August when she considered SBS International School Bangkok.
When she looked at SBS Bangkok, the curriculum and her conversations with the school's leadership helped her decide it was the right place for him.
August is now in Year 9. In her interview, his mum talks about what she noticed as he settled into school life: he began volunteering without being asked, he worked with friends on projects they would present to younger pupils, and when she asked about his day he wanted to show her what he was working on.
She had been looking for a strong academic education. Seeing him take that much interest in school — and feel proud of his part in it — meant a great deal to her too.
