The Early Years House Play Day brought families together through laughter, playful challenges, and shared experiences, highlighting parent participation, community spirit, and the joyful connections that make Early Years learning meaningful and memorable.
On 3 December 2025, our Early Years community came together for a memorable House Play Day filled with energy, laughter, and plenty of unexpected highlights.
The spotlight would usually fall on the competitive endeavours of our children, but during this inaugural event a new element stole the show: parent participation! Very serious-looking mums and dads were seen navigating the same complex challenges previously conquered by their children. Under Mrs Crossland’s expert teaching, our parents were guided to success—though at times she needed to step in, offer consolation, or manage a little playful mischief.
In the end, the real victory wasn’t in the points (though the Blue Sharks did sneak a win!) but in the pure joy of watching families fully embrace the wonderful, noisy fun of Early Years play.
A fantastic day of connection, courage, and community spirit.
