Splish Splash Day: Water Play and Physical Literacy at SBS Bangkok
SBS Bangkok Toddlers explored water through age-appropriate play on Splish Splash Day, developing familiarity, strength, coordination and gross motor skills.
Learning through purposeful water play
Before the school break, Splish Splash Day gave Toddlers at SBS Bangkok a joyful opportunity to explore one of the key environments in the school’s Physical Literacy Programme: water.
This annual experience introduces children to water play and helps prepare them for the Early Years Learn to Swim Programme as they move up.
Through age-appropriate play in the water, children had opportunities to develop core strength, coordination and gross motor skills while becoming more familiar with the water environment.
Most importantly, the day was full of smiles, movement and fun as meaningful learning took place through play.
